In September 2020, an HB 3100 IPS hydraulic breaker was supplied to PJSC KRC for the Liubymivskyi quarry in Dnipropetrovsk region. The Epiroc breaker weighs 3100 kg and was mounted on a Hyundai 520 excavator.

Key features of this breaker include:

EnergyRecovery. Piston recoil energy is automatically reused to increase output without additional hydraulic power input, while reducing vibration.

Intelligent Protection System (IPS) ensures the breaker starts in AutoStart mode. As contact pressure between the tool and material increases and AutoControl changes from a short to a long piston stroke, IPS switches to AutoStop. When the tool breaks through, the breaker stops automatically to prevent blank firing.

PowerAdapt. An integrated overload protection valve stops the breaker when operating pressure is outside specifications, helping prevent downtime and repair costs.

ContiLube (TM) II and ContiLube (TM) II micro. Optimised lubrication with reduced maintenance. Cartridge grease level can be checked from the excavator cab.

VibroSilenced Plus system. Polyurethane damping and guiding elements isolate the impact mechanism from the housing. Sealed openings help reduce noise and vibration.

DustProtector (TM) II. The patented two-stage DustProtector system helps keep the hydraulic breaker in working condition. It is a manufacturer-developed system fitted to this breaker range.

Hybrid technology with an integrated nitrogen piston accumulator provides consistently high impact energy, safe starting and smooth operation.
